Hi, I’m Chelsea
I’m a self-taught glass artist in Alaska. I started working with glass in 2020 as a hobby that quickly grew into a studio as I fell in love with the medium.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of living and working in many amazing natural spaces and as such my art is influenced by the vast and varied landscapes protected in our public lands, from mountain ridges to desert canyons and everywhere in between. In these places I chase colors; the gold of sunlight drifting through pine needles, the soft gleam of river stones, the quiet glow of the night sky. I observe their moods and behaviors and document their natural histories with sheets of glass arranged like field notes. The result is not merely an object, but a dialogue between place, light, and self. In each piece I strive to do more than shape glass. I strive to set it free, to wander, to shine, and to remember where it came from.
I create both whimsical and fine art, large and small. Most of my work can be viewed and purchased at seasonal craft markets listed on my events page. Otherwise, I take commissions as my schedule permits and will list drops as I complete themed series.
If you have questions about my art or would like to inquire about commission work, please reach out using the “Request Information” form at the bottom of the site.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope my art brings a little color to your day!
